PREMIER HOLIDAYS UNVEILS AGENT COOK-OFF AS IT LAUNCHES THAILAND FOODIE CAMPAIGN

Travel agents can win a Thailand fam trip in operator’s latest marketing initiative

Premier Holidays is challenging agents to bring a taste of Thailand into their kitchens for a social media cooking competition following the launch of a new foodie-themed campaign.

Throughout March and April, Premier will be sharing recipes for popular Thai dishes on its Facebook and Twitter pages and encouraging agents to cook them at home, posting a picture of their creations on social media with the hashtag #PremierThaiCookOff. A panel of judges will choose one overall Cook-Off champion to win a place on fam trip to Thailand in May with British Airways.

The interactive social media campaign forms part of a new food-focused marketing initiative by the operator, launched in conjunction with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Premier's national sales manager Dave Kneale and business development manager Carly Charteris unveiled the campaign at a launch event in Oxford and Nottingham, where several  key agents went head-to-head in a Thai food cook-off at a themed restaurant.

A number of tactical offers to Thailand aimed at increasing bookings are available throughout the campaign, giving clients substantial savings on itineraries to the destination. Offers include a 13-night holiday to Bangkok and Krabi from £899pp – saving couples up to £918 and including free room upgrades - and 13 nights visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket from £1,159pp, with savings of up to £930 per couple.

Promotional materials including foodie-themed posters and flyers are available for agents to showcase the campaign offers. They can benefit from up to £150 in shopping vouchers for every inclusive Thailand booking.

Premier will also be taking its foodie campaign on the road at the end of March and beginning of April, visiting a number of agents across the UK with a Thai food truck. Some of the agents' most loyal clients have been invited to sample cuisine traditionally found in the country at Thai Street Food Pop-Ups outside each store.
