NEW AWARDS LAUNCHED TO RECOGNISE THOSE WHO GO BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY

Operator to recognise and reward hotels with new awards initiative

Leading independent tour operator Premier Holidays has launched an awards scheme to celebrate partners in the travel trade who go beyond the call of duty. 

Following a successful 2016 which saw Premier celebrate its 80th anniversary and move in to dynamic new offices, the Cambridgeshire-based firm wants to make 2017 the year it recognises key hotel partners that offer something different, or who have provided outstanding service and support.

The categories in the Premier Holidays Partner Awards 2017 include Outstanding Contribution Award; Conservation Award; Most Unique Product; Innovative Partner Award; and a Community Award. In addition, there is a Best Cuisine Award for Premier's short haul portfolio.

The operator has pledged to support the winners of the Conservation and Community Awards with a donation for their chosen project or charity.

Susan Papworth, Premier Holidays' managing director, said: "We're delighted to launch our first ever Premier awards; we've built fantastic relationships with many of our regular suppliers over the years and there's nothing better than being able to recognise them for their support.

"Now that we've finished celebrating our 80th birthday, we want to herald in the start of a new era by unveiling these awards. Many of the travel agents we work with on a regular basis have a fantastic knowledge of our product range, and we want them to also nominate a hotel supplier for our awards."

Each winner will receive an award and a mention of their achievement in Premier Holidays' 2018 brochures.

Travel agents are being invited to nominate hotel suppliers in the operator's long haul and short haul destinations for any of the 10 categories in the Premier Holidays Partner Awards 2017. To submit a nomination, agents need to explain in 200 words why the supplier should win that award and make it clear which category it is for, sending it to partnerawards@premierholidays.co.uk

The closing date for nominations is July 3rd, with the winners announced w/c October 2nd.
