Home to one of the most famous Universities of the world and boasting centuries of defined culture Cambridge offers the ultimate city break. No visit to Cambridge is complete without a journey along the river on a punt. Relax with a picnic as you are gently propelled along the River Cam taking in all the glory of the Cambridge colleges including the famous Mathematical Bridge – and don’t be surprised if the odd swan passes you by. - There is only one way to travel in Cambridge and it’s by bike. You will find them in abundance and hiring couldn’t be easier. It costs around £10 a day and there are plenty of group or family rates available.
- Don’t miss out on a punting trip along the river; you can even enjoy your dinner being served to you as you travel.
- A walk along the University Backs is completely free and there’s a variety of cafés and tea shops in which to take a breather and soak up the surroundings.
