Isles of Scilly Explorer

St Mary’s 3 nights
St Martin’s 2 nights
Tresco 2 nights

Day 1: Travel by sea or air to the Isles of Scilly. On arrival make your way to your hotel. If you have opted to fly from Exeter or Newquay, why not stopover in either city before flying onwards to St Mary’s.

Days 2-3 St Mary’s: With two days at leisure you can do as much or as little as you like on this beautiful island. Take a stroll around the island’s hub, Hugh Town, or enjoy one of the lovely beaches, be it Porthcressa, Town Beach or Porthmellon. Old Town is the other ‘major’ settlement, which has its own beautiful beach and a nature reserve. Up country, away from the relative hustle and bustle, St Mary’s is a haven of hidden treasures, including dramatic rocky coves, stunning seascapes, amazing archaeological sites, beautiful walks and nature trails.

Day 4 St Mary’s/St Martin’s: Make your way to the quay for the 30 minute boat to St Martin’s (ferry is payable locally). On arrival make your way to your hotel.

Day 5 St Martin’s: A full day to explore this delightful island, which at just two miles long should be easy! Despite its size, you’ll discover it has some of the finest beaches in the British Isles, if not the world. Additionally, the spectacular flowers, plant life, rare birds and sensational sea views along the heathery cliff path walks all add to the unmistakeable beauty. You’ll also find great local food, a winery, a flower farm and don’t miss the chance to go snorkelling amongst playful Atlantic grey seals.

Day 6 Day 6 St Martin’s/Tresco: Make your way to the quay for the ferry back to St Mary’s and then take the 20 minute ferry ride to Tresco (ferry is payable locally).

Day 7 Tresco: A day to explore this subtropical gem, which has everything from dramatic rocky outcrops, bronze age burial sites and romantic castle ruins to secluded sandy beaches and, of course, the world-famous Tresco Abbey Garden.

Day 8 Tresco/St Mary’s/mainland UK: Return by boat to St Mary’s (ferry payable locally) and then onward by air or sea to mainland UK.
