The highlight of any visit to Aitutaki is its amazing coral lagoon. Viewed from the air, the lagoon is scattered with little motus with coral just beneath the surface. The second most visited island in the Cooks, snorkelling is, not surprisingly, popular and it’s imperative to take a cruise around the lagoon stopping at a few of the uninhabited islands for sunbathing and snorkelling.
