Day 1 Depart UK
From selected airports

Day 2 Cape Town/Stellenbosch
On arrival you will be met at Cape Town airport and transferred to Stellenbosch which is South Africa's second oldest town and is packed with many historic buildings dating back to the 1700's.

Day 3 Stellenbosch
As Stellenbosch is the centre of the winelands with some 100 estates open to the public, you will have the opportunity to visit a local wine estate and enjoy a tasting.

Day 4 Stellenbosch/Oudtshoorn
Travel via the town of Montagu on the scenic Route 62 to the pretty village of Barrydale. Continue to Oudtshoorn, known as the "feather capital of the world" thanks to its huge ostrich industry, for a fascinating tour of a prestigious ostrich farm to learn more about these giant birds.

Day 5 Oudtshoorn/Knysna
Go underground to marvel at the Cango Caves, regarded as one of South Africa's most spectacular natural wonders. Drive via the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to George and onwards to Knysna which lies in the heart of the Garden Route. Enjoy time at leisure to discover the town's many art galleries, craft shops and coffee bars. Knysna is also renowned for its oysters so be sure to sample some at a local eatery.

Day 6 Knysna
Cruise on the vast Knysna Lagoon, then visit Featherbed Nature Reserve which is home to many special inhabitants including the endangered Blue Duiker, Cape Mountain Tortoise and the Black African Oyster Catcher. Enjoy the view of the imposing sandstone 'Heads' which guard the sea entrance to Knysna's juge tidal lagoon and the forests, marshes and pristine beaches surrounding it. Afternoon is at leisure.

Day 7 Knysna/Hermanus
Morning departure via Swellendam to Hermanus, a charming town of scenic beauty which has retained some of its historical fisherman's village heritage.

Day 8 Hermanus
Hermanus has the status of being the best land-based whale watching destination in the world. Southern Right whales visit Walker Bay from June through to December, so take the opportunity to sit back and keep your eyes peeled. For those seeking adventure, Hermanus is also famed for cage diving to see Great White Sharks.

Day 9 Hermanus/Cape Town/UK
Depart Hermanus for Cape Town airport and your flight to the UK.
