Botswana Destination Guide

Botswana is a landlocked country, nestled in the heart of Southern Africa and bordered by South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. This wild and staggeringly beautiful country offers a truly African experience.

A real wilderness where animals roam freely and mass tourism has yet to touch. Botswana’s combination of inland waterways, grass plains and lush forests has created diverse habitats for the country’s huge population of game.

The Okavango Delta is a vast wetland whose animal life has specially adapted and evolved over the years to become an area of incredible natural beauty. Chobe and Moremi National Parks in the north of Botswana are recognised as being two of Africa’s finest. Moremi boasts vast herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe and antelope. Chobe is famous for the highest concentration of elephants worldwide. The Makgadikgadi Pans offer mile after mile of shimmering white salt pans, stone-age ruins, stretches of savannah and pre-historic beaches.

Botswana is a country where nature has created its own kaleidoscope and here every day is an adventure, challenge and discovery. Nowhere else would you find such a mix of silent deserts, mysterious waterways, plains of abundant wildlife and endless savannahs. Of course, the best thing of all is that it is one of the few places in Africa which remains completely unspoilt.
