Sales figures soar as advance bookings and a strong summer garner results

Premier Holidays, the UK’s leading independent tour operator, was named one of Flybe’s fastest-growing accounts for this year to date, following record sales to the Channel Islands in the month of July.
Bookings through Premier Holidays for Flybe rose by 37 per cent in July compared to the same period in 2009. The airline presented a certificate to the tour operator in recognition of this achievement.
“We are delighted to see our sales figures for Flybe increase so significantly this year,” said Beverley Scarr, General Manager of Premier Holidays’ Short Haul business.
“July figures show short-haul bookings to the Channel Islands are on the up. The majority of the bookings are late deals; however we can also attribute this increase to a larger number of online bookings and a higher number of advanced bookings for 2011.
“The Channel Islands are becoming popular holiday destinations. Figures show overall bookings are up in excess of 25% so far this year, which demonstrates that more clients are holidaying closer to home,” says Scarr.
