Most visitors stay in the capital, Manama which is linked to the neighbouring island of Muharraq by the impressive Sulman Causeway. Pay a visit to Bahrain Fort and the Al Fatih Mosque, the largest building on Bahrain. Alternatively escape to the desert to visit the ancient Tree of Life or to Muharraq to admire the restored houses of a former time.
