Day 1 Nuwara Eliya/Yala: Morning departure and visit to the Hakgala botanical gardens which have an excellent orchid collection. Proceed to Yala via the Rawana Ella waterfalls (approx. 4 hour drive) and also Buuduruwagala where the great sculptures date back to the 9th or 10th centuries. Continue to Yala, the largest national park in Sri Lanka.
Day 2 Yala: Early morning game drive in the Yala National Park by jeep. The park is home to wild elephant, boar, buffalo, leopard, bear, crocodiles and large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds. Return to the hotel and enjoy time at leisure to relax by the pool before departing for an afternoon game drive.
Day 3 Yala/beach resort: Early morning game drive before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Depart for your chosen beach resort (approx 5-6 hour drive).
Game drive vehicle is not air-conditioned.
