Borneo wildlife & safari holidays

Sabah is home to the Mount Kinabalu National Park, where you will find hot springs and the delightful forest canopy walkway. For the more adventurous (and you need to have a certain level of fitness too) you can take a guided climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu and watch the sun rise.

In Sandakan, you will find the famous “wild men of Borneo”. One of the world’s most adored animals, the orang-utan, can be seen in sanctuary at Sepilok, where the orphaned young are carefully rehabilitated and then released back into the jungle. Sandakan is also home to the fascinating wildlife along the banks of the Menanggol River where you will witness the cheeky monkeys, hornbills, monitor lizards and the long nosed proboscis monkey.

One of the great experiences is to overnight on “Turtle Island” and watch the turtles come ashore to lay their eggs.

Diving enthusiasts might like to consider a stay on Mabul Island where daily dives around the spectacular Sipadan National Park are included in your rates. Sipadan has many of the top rated dive sites in the world including Barracuda Point, South Point, Sipadan drop-off and Turtle Tavern. Please ask our reservations team for details and prices.

We are often able to source hotels and tours that are not displayed on this website, please call for more details.
