Queensland wildlife & safari holidays
The 3,000 individual reefs and coral islands that make up the Great Barrier Reef, harbour thousands of fish and marine creatures. Watch the progression of protected humpback whales on their journey along the coast or snorekl in the clear waters around the Whitsunday Islands.
Queensland's beaches also provide excellent environments for loggerhead, flatback, green and leatherback turtles.
The World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest has remained largely unchanged over the past 110 million years. It is now home to rare plants that provide key links in the evolution story.
