New South Wales wildlife & safari holidays

Why not experience Roar & Snore at Taronga Zoo in Sydney - it is a fully hosted experience that includes architecturally designed tents, a sumptuous roast feast, drinks in the main tent and up-close animal encounters. It offers a unique opportunity to camp with the views of Sydney Harbour on one side and lions, Snow Leopards and Meerkats on the other.

Head north to the town of Port Stephens it is home to around 165 bottlenose dolphins, which live in the Port itself. If you are lucky you can view them from the shore. Alternatively, join a tour which takes you around the Port dolphin watching. It is also possible to go Hump Back Whale watching during their migration north to warmer waters, and later in the year during their journey south to Antartica.

The Blue Mountains is a unique destination just an hour by car or train from Sydney. The name derives from the ever present bluish haze evaporating from the millions of eucalyptus trees dominating the Blue Mountains. Wildlife and especially birdlife is abundant here.
