These “Islands in the Sun” were made famous by being featured in the movie “The Beach”. The two main tree covered islets are Phi Phi Don, which boasts several white beaches ideal for swimming and Phi Phi Ley, which is home to thousands of swallows which nest in the Viking cave. Like any idyllic setting, it is
a magnet for daytrippers - it is beautiful, but busy!
