Dubai all inclusive holidays

Dubai’s beaches are stunning and with sunshine virtually guaranteed year-round, it’s a perfect destination for sun-worshippers. As Dubai has grown hugely over the last few years, the choice of where to stay has too.

Dubai City: Once a small town reliant on fishing and pearl diving, today’s Dubai is a world away from its historic origins. Divided into two by the Creek, Deira, the older part of the city, lies on the northern bank with Bur Dubai to the south. Abras (water taxis) criss-cross the water to various points offering an opportunity to share with the locals the sights and sounds of this intriguing and vibrant city, which blends modern day high-rise architecture and traditional Arabian heritage.

Downtown Burj Dubai: Burj Dubai, the tallest tower in the world - and still growing! - is the centre piece of this new development just 15 minutes from the existing city. It’s also home to The Dubai Mall, which houses an incredible 1,200 shops as well as the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo and the Olympic size Dubai ice rink. The mall surrounds a huge lake and the 500ft ‘dancing’ Dubai Fountain.

Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach: What Dubai has needed for some time is a resort area to complement the marvellous Jumeirah Beach and the Marina and Walkway have brought just that. The Mediterranean-style pedestrianised walkway is filled with shops, cafes and restaurants (some are licensed).

The Palm Jumeirah: One of 3, which have been constructed, the Palm Jumeirah is home to the much-heralded Atlantis - The Palm. A monorail takes you from the trunk to Aquaventure - one of the biggest water parks in the world.

The desert: Dubai is essentially about the desert and any visit must include a trip out of the city. You can choose to experience the thrill of dune driving or for something slightly less adventurous, either a half-day, full-day or overnight safari.

Jebel Ali: 25 minutes on from the Marina, Jebel Ali is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Golf, horseriding and sea plane experiences are just some of the options on offer.

Development: A variety of construction and resort development projects are underway and no matter where you go, you will see and hear evidence of this. The Palm Jumeirah is well on its way to completion, but the Palm Jebel Ali and the World, as well as the Marina complex are still scenes of significant activity.
