Turtle Island 1 night
An escorted tour to witness turtles in their natural habitat, laying eggs and perhaps have the opportunity of releasing a newly hatched turtle. Then onwards to Sandakan to meet the “Wild men of Borneo”.
Day 1 Kota Kinabalu/Turtle Island: Early morning flight to Sandakan, followed by a one hour boat ride to Selingan “Turtle Island”. After lunch visit the turtle hatchery and have the afternoon at leisure before, after dark, the highlight of watching turtles come struggling ashore to lay their eggs.
Day 2 Turtle Island/Kota Kinabalu:: Return to Sandakan from “Turtle Island” to visit the orang-utan sanctuary at Sepilok and witness feeding time only feet away from these amazing animals. In the afternoon there will be a short tour of Sandakan before the late afternoon flight back to Kota Kinabalu or a tour of Kota Kinabalu on arrival depending on flight schedules.

The tour prices: The price shown is a lead-in price for low season travel and includes flights from Kota Kinabalu, transfers to and from your hotel, one night’s accommodation at the Island Resthouse, services of an English speaking guide and entrance fees.
This tour is soft adventure and the terrain can be unpredictable so it is not recommended for the less mobile. Accommodation at the Island Resthouse is in a room with private facilities, but is basic. Boat transfers may be cancelled at short notice due either to sea conditions or visitor restrictions. Minimum of two passengers.
