Jersey Live 2011
Jersey Live Festival is a cool boutique music festival situated on the Channel Island of Jersey. On the Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of September 2011, the Royal Jersey Showground will play host to the festival for the eighth time. This festival is truly unique due to its location, taking place on the hills of the beautiful Jersey countryside, which is surrounded by breath-taking beaches.
Jersey rests in the Bay of St Malo, only 14 miles off the coast of France, which gives it the best of both British and French cultures, thus making it the closest British music festival to France. The most southerly of the Channel Islands, it has been named the warmest place in the British Isles, and year after year it lives up to its well-earned reputation, giving Jersey Live a warm, sunny late-Summer vibe!
From its humble beginnings in 2004, the festival organisers have strived to make it bigger and better every year, and it now welcomes 20,000 people over the two-day festival weekend. It is now as well-established date on the festival calendar, and not one to be missed.
The first names of the line-up have already been announced, with Madness and Plan B headlining the Main Stage on 3rd and 4th of September respectively. Other names include The Streets, Katy B, Wretch 32, Ed Sheeran, Pony Pony Run Run, The Beat, Zane Lowe, Nero, Danny Byrd, Breakage, Toddla T, Mr Oizo, Jamie Woon, Maverick Sabre... This year's Main Stage host will be none other than Radio 1's Huw Stephens.
