A self-drive tour combining the wineries of the Margaret River and some rare trees in Walpone-Nornalup National Park.

Day 1 Perth/Busselton: Travel down the coast this morning to Busselton with its calm turquoise bays. Explore the shops, relax in one of the waterfront cafes and get closer to the colourful fish and marine life at the Underwater Observatory. Alternatively, make your way to Geographe Bay where you can try your hand at windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving or snorkelling (approx. 3 hours 30 minutes).
Day 2 Busselton/Margaret River: Visit Bunbury this morning, a cosmopolitan city on a peninsula, surrounded by the blue waters of the Indian Ocean, Koombana Bay and Leschenault Islet. Continue to the Margaret River region, famed for its wineries and some of Australia’s best chefs (approx. 1-2 hours).
Day 3 Margaret River: At leisure. Explore the wineries, visit the network of underground caves, or people watch on Surfers Beach, tour the towering rainforest or enjoy coastal walks.
Day 4 Margaret River/Pemberton: Pemberton is located deep in the Karri forests, where scenic drives through Warren National Parklead you through the 260ft high forests. Take an eco walk through the forest, or join an aboriginal guide (approx. 2 hours).
Day 5 Pemberton: A must visit today is to drive to Walpone-Nornalup National Park, a heavily forested area home to the famous Valley of the Giants. There are four species of rare eucalypts, the giant tingle trees, and the impressive treetop walk 1,800 feet long in the canopy of these giant trees. Then go on to the Gloucester National Park, and if your nerves hold out try to climb 180 feet up one of the great Gloucester trees, for the best view around!
Day 6 Pemberton/Perth: Return to Perth and return your car (approx. 5 hours).
