A self-drive tour following a coastal route and which gives you the opportunity to encounter dolphins and two national parks.

Day 1 Perth/Geraldton: Leave Perth early this morning making your way up to Geraldton which is a major town in the mid-west, on a rugged stretch of coast (approx. 5 hours 30 minutes).
Day 2 Geraldton/Monkey Mia: Early start this morning driving to Monkey Mia, which is located on a unique section of the World Heritage coastline in Shark Bay. This area has spectacular beaches and is famous for the bottlenose dolphins (approx. 5 hours 30 minutes).
Day 3 Monkey Mia: At leisure to relax on the beach or enjoy a close encounter with the dolphins in the reserve, where they come up to the shore either alone or in groups of five or more. Wade knee deep in the ‘dolphin interaction zone’ for the dolphins to come up and nudge you (sightings are not guaranteed).
Day 4 Monkey Mia/Kalbarri: Head back down the coast and into the Kalbarri National Park which boasts bushland and scenic gorges. There are walking trails to explore and if you are visiting in Spring, enjoy the display of wildflowers (approx. 5 hours).
Day 5 Kalbarri/Cervantes: Driving further south enter the seaport of Cervantes which is the entry point to the Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. Here you can view the natural limestone rocks jutting out from the flat sandy desert (approx. 5 hours 30 minutes).
Day 6 Cervantes/Perth: Return drive to Perth to drop your hire car off either downtown or at the airport (approx. 3 hours 30 minutes).
