Geography: Victoria has an astonishing variety of landscapes from near desert regions to cool rainforests. You can find almost anything from long sandy beaches and rugged headland to rolling hills, mountains and dense forest.

Climate: Weather in Victoria can be unpredictable. Many liken it to the English weather but don’t let that put you off! Temperatures can often reach 30°C in the summer and an mild average of 15°C in the winter.

Airport information: Melbourne Airport, also known as Tullamarine Airport, is the second busiest airport in Australia. It is located approximately 15 miles from Melbourne's Central Business District on the Tullamarine Freeway and takes about 30 minutes by road. There is no train service but the airport is served by taxis, public buses and the Skybus shuttle service operating 24 hours a day.
