Day 1 Sydney/Port Macquarie: Yor adventure begins this morningas you drive across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Central Coastas you travel to Port Macquarie. This evening get to know your crewand fellow travellers at a welcome dinner.
Day 2 Port Macquarie/Surfers Paradise: Enjoy a drive to ByronBay, renowned for surf beaches. Take in the views from Cape Byron,the Australian mainland’s most easterly point, you may even seedolphins off the point, and view the Cape Byron Lighthouse.
Day 3 Surfers Paradise/Fraser Island: A short drive takes you toBrisbane and onwards to Australia Zoo, made famous by the lateCrocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. Continue to Hervey Bay and cruise toFraser Island.
Day 4 Fraser Island: Enjoy a half day tour of the world’s largestsand island and discover unspoilt surf beaches, inland lakes andlush rainforest. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 5 Fraser Island/Rockhampton: Journey across the Tropic ofCapricorn as you return to the mainland via Hervey Bay and thenonwards to Rockhampton, the beef capital of Australia.
Day 6 Rockhampton/Daydream Island: Enjoy a sightseeing tour ofRockhampton, including a visit to the Botanic Gardens. Continue toAirlie Beach and cruise to Daydream Island, part of the Great BarrierReef Marine Park. The island lies beside an archipelago of greenislands in the blue tropical waters.
Day 7 Daydream Island: A day at leisure to relax and enjoy theactivities available on Daydream Island. Perhaps spend the dayrelaxing on the beach or beside the pool, you may like to enjoy aspa treatment or perhaps take a jetski tour (own expense).
Day 8 Daydream Island: No visit to the Whitsundays is completewithout a cruise to Whitehaven Beach. Voted the Most BeautifulBeach in Queensland, Whitehaven Beach is one of the mostspectacular sights in the Whitsundays with its pristine white sandand blue azure waters.
Day 9 Daydream Island/Mission Beach: This morning, departDaydream Island and return to the mainland. Head to Townsville,North Queensland’s largest city. Enjoy a tour of this tropical citywhich is surrounded by hinterland and the Great Barrier Reef.Continue your journey north to Mission Beach.
Day 10 Mission Beach/Cairns: Travel through the diverselandscapes of the Atherton Tablelands, home to some ofQueenslands most spectacular waterfalls. Visit Millaa Millaa Fallsand the Curtain Figtree, before arriving in Cairns. Later thisafternoon, board the Kuranda Skyrail in the pretty village of Kurandaand ride above the treetops to Caravonica Lakes.
Day 11 Cairns: This morning explore the Great Barrier Reef with acruise to Green Island, take the opportunity to go snorkellingamongst the spectacular species of coral and fish that make thereef so special. Tonight enjoy a special Farewell Dinner at Tjapukaiby Night. Discover the Dreamtime, take an interactive part in anancient corroboree then, be led along a flame-lit pathway to adinner of the region’s best food.
Day 12 Cairns: Your tour concludes today after breakfast.
