Early Bird Departure Special (EBDS) from only £156
This special must be reserved (and pre-paid) 30 days or more in advance. You will be first on the road - even during the busy high season. The price includes:
- Transfers begin at 8.00am from designated area hotels only.
- ‘First in line’ service at the rental centre with all the advantages of being near the front of the line.
- Vehicle departures beginning at 9.00am are completed by no later than noon for Early Birders.
- Late Return Option up to 3.00pm without penalty.
- Return transfer to hotel* or airport will be arranged and paid for by the rental centre**.
- Large parties may find taxi costs as high as paying the upgrade. The time saved at departure and gained at return means between four and eight extra daytime hours of your holiday time.

- Additional mileage ‘packs’ can be pre-purchased in the UK for £124 per 500 miles in the US and £189 per 800kms in Canada, there are no refunds for unused miles. Additional miles are charged at 32c per mile (32c per kilometre in Canada) at vehicle return.
- Transfers, unless the EBDS has been purchased.
- One way drop charges: One-way fees between rental locations within the US or within Canada will vary from $50 to $750 depending on pickup location and routing. Please ask for full details and prices. One way fees are subject to tax and payable locally.

Things You Need to Know
Driving Licence: You must be in possession of a valid NATIONAL driving licence. International licences are not accepted on their own.
Deposit: A refundable security deposit of $500 is payable on arrival by credit card. Your credit card will be presented and a refund issued for $500 less any extra charges incurred (ie mileage overages). A fuel deposit may also be required.
Driving age: Minimum driving age is 21.
Pick up procedure: Your motorhome will be available for collection between 1pm and 4pm, please call the depot in the morning to find out what time it will be available. Those selecting the EBDS will be collected in the morning from their hotel but must telephone the depot in advance to arrange. Before you leave the station you will be given a full orientation and inspection of the motorhome. Cruise America are closed on Sundays (unless you have opted for the EBDS Sunday pick up) and U.S. public holidays. No motorhomes may be picked up or dropped off on these days. You are not permitted to rent a motorhome on your day of arrival in the North America. Please ask for a list of public holidays.

Drop off procedure: You must return your motorhome between 9am and 11am unless you have selected the EBDS in which case you must return between 1pm and 3pm. All returns after the designated time are subject to extra charges. Free transfers for the EBDS customers are offered to airports and designated hotels up to 4pm only.
Restricted areas: There are restrictions on motorhome travel in Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Death Valley, desert areas, on ferries, logging and non public roads and in Mexico. Please ask for details if this affects your itinerary.
Campgrounds: "Where do we stay overnight?" is the most asked question by novice renters. The USA has thousands of campgrounds where you connect to mains water, electricity and drainage (this is called 'hook-ups'!). We recommend prebooking, especially in summer, and you can do this with Kampgrounds of America by calling 08705 143607. If you quote 'PTPRE' when you make your call, KOA will know that you are entitled to a 10% discount on all pre-booked nights.
Winter Rentals: Vehicle operating systems may not be fully operational during the winter months. In Canada and northern US cities, vehicles are likely to have anti-freeze in holding tanks, meaning that there may be no running water in the vehicle and consequently, toilets and showers will not function.
